Sarah Jane Frost was born in 1970 in the deeply rural county of the Lincolnshire Wolds on the East coast of England. After leaving school Sarah moved to London and studied for an honours degree in Modern Arts and worked  for several years  in the professional world of book and magazine publishing. It was during a period of employment at Radio Times magazine in an editorial role that Sarah came into contact with the world of photography and her love affair with the medium began.

In 1998 Sarah was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Photojournalism from the London College of Printing in Clerkenwell, London and began her career as a professional photographer, working on her own commissions and assisting other well-established photographers. She also managed a busy photographic studio in Shoreditch and sold stories and images to media organisations. In 2012 Sarah moved to West Cornwall and found a new creative direction for her photography. 

A long time supporter of environmental causes, Sarah now focusses on creating botanical still life and garden images which echo her deep love for all plants and flowers and her strong belief in the importance of gardens in our overall health. She has her own unique and intuitive vision which is reflected in a distinctive photographic style. Sarah's profound interest and personal belief in the medicinal and healing properties of flowers and plants is also at the heart of everything she captures through her lens.

Sarah holds a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society and is a member of the Royal Horticultural Society and the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. Her chosen charity for 2022 is Cornwall Wildlife Trust and a donation will be made to this charity from all sales of her artwork.
